Parents/Caregivers Information Page

Leah Demaree Douglas IMAGINATION Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library believe that if you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything.  Through the Imagination Library program, The Leah Demaree Douglas Imagination Foundation wants to ensure all children in Bosque Country have books at home.

Welcome to the Imagination Library

A love of books and reading provides a basis for literacy skills that set children up for future success.  Parents reading to their children from birth improves a child’s future reading ability.

The Imagination Library puts books into the hands of children across the world. They partner with local community organizations like the Leah Demaree Douglas IMAGINATION Foundation to provide a specially selected, age-appropriate, high-quality book each month to participating children from birth to age five.  These books are personalized with each child’s name and mailed directly to their home to create a gifting experience that makes books exciting and encourages families to spend time enjoying books together. Best of all, it is a gift to the family from the Leah Demaree Douglas IMAGINATION Foundation.

“The single most significant factor influencing a child’s early educational success is an introduction to books and being read to at home before beginning school.”
